Health Benefits of CBD Oil for Various Ailments

Many people confuse CBD oil with marijuana; however, it is an entirely different plant. Marijuana and hemp may have the same specific scientific name, Cannabis sativa, but they are not similar. Marijuana is primarily grown for its psychoactive cannabinoid, a chemical called tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, for medical and recreational use. Hemp contains only a token amount of THC, less than 0.3 percent compared to marijuana’s 5-35 percent.

It is one of the oldest domesticated plants globally, and it is now accessible even online. Online weed dispensaries are helping Canadians sleep with top grade CBD oil. However, the generation that came to CBD was the “weed” because it shares the same nature as marijuana, although it doesn’t contain much THC in marijuana.

Over the decades, many assumed that the real reason for the anti-cannabis efforts boiled down to the fear that hemp would become a cheap substitute for paper pulp. They began a smear campaign to ruin the lucrative hemp market, fearing that hemp’s rise would reduce profits. But decades later, it became clear that hemp did not have a sufficient cellulose concentration for a successful paper substitute. Researchers are beginning to discover many of the health benefits of CBD oil for these ailments:

Pain

CBD studies explain that applying CBD oil directly to the distressed area helps reduce pain and swelling. Researchers have also found that, unlike many painkillers, CBD is not addictive and has no unwanted side effects, which is an excellent relief for chronic pain sufferers. CBD oil helps you reduce the pain you feel without being addicted to it.

Seizures

A vast collection of wellness activities has well understood CBD. The most compelling scientific evidence is its effectiveness in healing two rare drug-resistant childhood seizure disorders, namely Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) and Dravet syndrome (DS). The Food and Drug Administration has approved the first CBD-derived medication, Epidiolex, for these disorders only. In several studies, CBD has decreased the number of seizures, sometimes even stopping them altogether.

Mental

depressedClinical studies have shown that both marijuana and CBD can successfully reduce several types of psychological ailments, including generalized anxiety disorder, anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, coronary heart disease, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Additionally, some research has shown that this CBD relieves depression and helps with psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia. (Keep in mind that marijuana does not help with psychosis and can make it worse.)

Cancer

Researchers have also found that a one-time combination of CBD and THC administered via oral injection reduces adverse effects associated with cancer medications, such as vomiting, nausea, and lack of desire. At this time, more research is needed to determine if CBD alone can produce the same specific favorable results. Researchers believe that CBD likely works by depriving cancer cells of energy and making them susceptible to the body’s immune response, including blocking a recently discovered cannabinoid-related tumor pathway.
